“I compose quiet music for loud thoughts”
In the rush of everyday life people search for moments of inner peace. Composer and pianist GUIDO is capturing these moments of inner peace in his compositions.
“I have a true belief that music, more than ever, plays an important role in people’s lives. In a turbulent time in which the social climate is changing rapidly, we need to sometimes just pause and have a moment to reflect on ourselves and determine if we are at peace with whom we are. And where we want to go to in life. With my music I hope I can create these moments.”
As a successful Dutch composer GUIDO (Guido Heeneman) composes music amongst others for feature films, documentary’s, tv shows and commercials. He won a prestigious Buma Award for his music in the tv series Krabbé Zoekt Picasso. He is currently nominated in the same category for his music in the tv series ‘Dichter Bij Anne Frank’.
Over the last few years GUIDO developed more and more the need to create and release autonomous works. With his neo-classical piano music GUIDO is now reaching a worldwide audience. His single ‘Old Letter’ has been listened to more than 9.2 million times on Spotify alone so far.
At the end of 2023, GUIDO released his first real full-length album: ‘Family Stories Part I’. The album was inspired by old 8mm family films he found in the attic of his childhood home, making it his most personal work to date. He performed this album and previous work in the beginning of this year 2024 at the main stage of the legendary pop hall Paradiso, which he sold out.
Family Stories Part II was released on Friday the 21st of March of this year (2025) and became Album of the Week on Radio NPO4 (Keihard Klassiek). GUIDO presented his new album in a sold out Royal Concert Hall in Amsterdam. He will later this year perform in Tivoli (16th of October 2025) and in PHIL (29th of November 2025).
